How-to Make Realistic Steel Backgrounds for Your Video

May 14th, 2012 · No Comments

So, you’re thinking of making a short horror video, but can’t find a great location with scary steel doors or walls? Or maybe you’re thinking of a Sci-fi flick with a real rusted industrial look. Where can you find a location to shoot? You could always make one… with some clever shooting and techniques from this video and a little money and time, you’re golden!

I found this video and thought I would pass it along. It’s design was for a haunted house for Halloween, but I’m thinking anyone want to make a realistic looking steel, metal background for their short film or video can take this information and adapt it for their needs. I could see this in a Sci-fi short, or to resemble the controlroom of a battleship or submarine, or maybe even a scary Horror flick?

Kudos to Scaryladyvideos on Youtube. I am envious of her workshop for one thing, her creativity for another.
