The right to take photographs or video in the United States is being challenged every day. People are worried about what they can take pictures of or videotape because they are told “you can’t take pictures here.” Can they or can’t they?
Attorney Bert. P. Krages II who concentrates on Intellectual Property and Environmental law has created a small guide that outlines the laws and what and what is not permissible. He suggests, as do I, that you print it out and carry it with you. It will give you ammunition when you are confronted and told you can’t videotape or take photographs, when in reality you are well within your legal rights to do so.
If you right click this link and “save as” you can download the guide to your computer.
